Ardell M. Mount

Funeral service for Ardell Marie Mount, 94, of Biwabik Township, will be 10:30am Monday, July 16, 2018 at Embarrass Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Marlin Bjornrud officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Biwabik Township Cemetery.  Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Homes.

Ardell died Saturday, July 7, 2018 at New Journey Residence in Biwabik, Minnesota.

She was born January 7, 1924 in Tromald, Minnesota to John and Lural (Graves) DeCent, On December 17, 1943 she married Donald Mount in Walford, Minnesota. In 1956 they moved to Hoyt Lakes.  Ardell was a homemaker who spent her time raising her family and in her spare time enjoyed reading.  She was talented with all kinds of hand work, including knitting and crocheting.  For several years she served as Sunday school instructor and was active in the Women’s Ministries at the Assembly of God Church in Aurora.

Survivors include her children: Carolyn (Jerry) Undem of Wyoming, Linda Amitie of Florida, Donald (Pam) Mount of Biwabik Township, Ginger (Nathan) Carter of Indiana, Allan (Doreen) Mount of Fayal, Eugene (Kathryn) Mount of Biwabik and Sheldon (Lisa) Mount of McKinley; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; siblings: Dolly Hanson, Kenneth DeCent, Dixie Banks, Vally Hoskins, Carol Hanson and Sharon Dobson; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; grandson, David; seven siblings; son-in-law, Claude Amitie and a great granddaughter, Destany.
