Betty Jean Snodgrass

Betty Jean (Frye) Snodgrass, 80, of Gilbert, passed away December 14th, 2024, surrounded by her family at St. Lukes in Duluth.

Betty was born December 5th, 1944 in Canyon MN to Dorothy and Wilmer Frye, the youngest of 16 children. She graduated from Cotton High School in 1962. In her younger years she took part in Basketball, Pool, and Bowling leagues.

Betty was a longtime resident of the Iron Range being in the Auctioneer Band. She enjoyed playing pull tabs, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. She enjoyed farming, gardening and taking care of anyone and everyone in need. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Paula (Mike) Hecimovich, Thomas (Patti Anderson) Jorgensen Jr, Jenny (Dean) Ronkainen, Michelle McCarty. Grandchildren Joey (Tahlia), Jamie (Dakota), Alicia (Taj), Haddi, Madison (Eddie), Hunter, Gavin, Sarah, Tyler, Kirsten (James). Great Grandchildren, Scarlett, Sophie, Aiden, Avarie, Taj jr., Layla, Landon, Grayson, Audrie, Griffin, Lincoln, Odin, Rita, Louis. Brothers Donald, and Benjamin. Sister Marilyn Bruun. Sister-in -law Charlene Frye and a host of very special nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lyle, granddaughter Heather Jo Hill, sisters Norma, Wanda, Helen, Dorothy, June, and Carol. Brothers Eldon, Doug, Dick, Wilmer Jr., Larry, and Edmund.

A celebration of Life will be held at the El Toro in Cotton MN on Saturday December 21st from 2pm -5pm.

A private family burial will take place at the Northland Cemetery in Canyon at a later date. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home.
