Betty Lou Wilson

A gathering of family and friends of Betty Lou Wilson, 84, a longtime resident of Biwabik, will be at 11:00am Saturday, December 10, 2022 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Biwabik with a 12:00 noon luncheon being served.  Local arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert.

Betty died Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Essentia Health – Virginia, Minnesota.

She was born December 1, 1938 in Koochiching County, Minnesota to John and Frances (Kovach) Pierce.  She attended school in Chisholm and on July 21, 1956 married Richard Wilson in Chisholm.  Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children.

In her earlier years, she was an avid bowler and played in softball leagues.  More recently she enjoyed working and spending time at the old homestead in Rauch, Minnesota, playing cards and wintering in Florida.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; children: Ricky (Peggy) Wilson, Ronnie (Tammy) Wilson, Becky (Pete) Micheletti and Thomas (Peter Michaud) Wilson; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (John) Slavich; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances; grandson, Patrick; brothers, Frank and Bernard.
