Beverly Teppen

Beverly Ann (Nelson) Teppen, 87, of Virginia died Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

Beverly was born on April 16, 1936 to Miles and Helen (Robinson)

Nelson in Dawson, ND. She graduated from the Grand Rapids High

School, Class of 1954. She furthered her education at NDSU where she earned a degree as a Dietitian. She was married to Frederick Teppen. 

The couple traveled extensively including such locations as Norway, Japan and all around the US until Fred’s untimely passing when they lived in Puerto Rico. Bev worked as a dietician in Kansas, Minneapolis, and Nevada until the age of eighty.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, and puzzles.

Survivors include: Her brother, Richard Nelson (Marilyn) of St. Francis, MN, son, Sam Wilkes (Beth Ann) of Aurora (Palo), MN, Grandson, Chris, of Fargo, ND, Granddaughter, Megan of Aurora (Palo), MN, great granddaughter, Aili, of Fargo, ND, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen (Robinson) and Miles Nelson, brother and his wife, Robert and Susanne Nelson, sisters: Ruby Braford and Bonnie McLean, and nephew Brad Nelson.

A celebration of life for Beverly will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in

Aurora.
