A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Biwabik Pavilion. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Memorials are kindly preferred in lieu of flowers.
Brody Jon Horn, 33, of Babbitt passed away unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in a tragic ATV accident on Sunday, September 15, 2024 along the Stoney Trail near Babbitt.
He was born on January 21, 1991 to Darryl and Kelly (Laugen) Horn in Duluth. He attended Mesabi East High School and furthered his education in welding at Mesabi Range College in Eveleth. He had worked at Tri-Tec in Virginia and most recently was employed at Ziegler-CAT in Buhl. Brody’s three children were his pride in joy. He took the greatest pleasure in sharing his passion for the outdoors with them. He was currently teaching his daughters the art of bow target shooting. Brody enjoyed dirt biking, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and hiking. He was also an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working on vehicles in his spare time. Brody will be remembered for his willingness to help others in any capacity he could.
Survivors include his mother, Kelly Laugen of Biwabik; the Love of his Life, Samantha Orcutt of Babbitt; his children: Izzik, Maci and Paisley; a brother, Trenton “TJ” Horn of Eveleth; Grandparents: Diane and Russell “Joe” Laugen of Aurora and Solomon Horn of Owosso, MI; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darryl; grandmother, Bernice Horn; and aunt, Cindy Horn.
