Craig D. Krize

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Craig D. Krize, 58, of Virginia, will be held from 12noon-3:00pm Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Gilbert VFW Post in Gilbert, Minnesota. The family requests that you wear race car clothing. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert.   He died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at St. Michael’s Health and Rehab in Virginia, Minnesota.   Craig was born June 6, 1960 in Eveleth, Minnesota to Terrance and Carol (Frye) Huttunen. He was a 1978 graduate of Horace Mann High School in Biwabik.  Most of his career was spent working as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry.   His passion was Nascar and Dirt Track Racing and he was one of Harry Hanson’s biggest fans!   Survivors include his sons: Craig T. (Missy) Krize, Douglas VonBrethorst and Austin Briesemeister; mother, Carol Kobe; step-father, Geron Krize; sister, Gina (David) Wells; granddaughters, Hailey and Terriana and a niece, Skylar Wells.   He is preceded in death by his father, Terrance Hutttunen and a sister, Tamey Takanen.
