Debra A. Carpenter

Debra Ann Carpenter died Sunday, February 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by family on hospice care.

She was born July 5, 1954 in Eveleth, Minnesota to John and Avis (Veralrud) Zupancic. Deb was a graduate of Gilbert High School and later earned her secretarial certificate from Eveleth Vo-Tech.

ON September 16, 1972 she married Ronald Carpenter in Watertown. Deb worked clerical positions for Frank Indihar and Northland Animal Hospital. Later, she was a driver for Brown Transportation.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald; daughter, Ronda (James “J.J.) Puzel from Ely, granddaughter, Kaelyn; aunt, Alice Schweiger; sister, Ramona (Gene) Knutson; brother, John (Claudia) Zupancic; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Avis Zupancic.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date.
