Deidre Roxanne Richardson, 74, of Aurora, MN, passed away of a brain aneurysm on Friday November 15, 2024 at Essentia Health St Mary’s Medical Center.
Dee was born on August 6, 1950 to Stanley and Evelyn (Carlson) Ballard, as the youngest of three children. Her father was tragically killed in an automobile accident when she was just a year old. She lived in Brainerd before moving to Deerwood to live with her grandmother Adelia. Dee graduated in the Crosby Ironton High School Class of 1968.
On May 17, 1969 she was united in marriage to Jerome Richardson. The couple made their home in Minneapolis and Little Falls before settling in the Hoyt Lakes-Aurora area, where they raised their three children: Julie, Jason, and Kevin.
Dee was a generous, caring person who loved to spend time with people. Her happiness was infectious, making her a joy to be around. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerome; children Julie and Kevin; sisters Judy and Vicki; brothers Mark and Michael; grandchildren Steven, Luke, Jacob, and Aiden; nieces Heather, Harmony, Jennifer, Amy, Emily, and Venice; and nephews Craig and Alex.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jason.
A funeral service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, with Pastor Charles Barnes officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior to the service. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora will follow the service.
