Don died suddenly on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Essentia Health – Aurora, MN.
Don was born January 5, 1949 in Biwabik, MN to Roy and Ann (Fortuna) Truman. He was a 1967 graduate of Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School and shortly after was drafted into the US Army, serving during the Vietnam Era.
Don worked for Erie Mining Company and served his apprenticeship for welding during that time. On November 8, 1975 he married Laura Davis in Palo, MN. Don retired from LTV Steel in 2000 as a welder. Following that, he worked as a welder for P & H Mine Pro for 10 years.
Don enjoyed riding his Harley, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his pride and joy, his granddaughter Peyton.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; daughter, BriAnna (Eric) Cromley; granddaughter, Peyton; sister, Judy (Frank) Omersa; brothers, Dale (Maribeth) Truman and Gene (Amelia) Truman; numerous nieces and nephews and his father and mother in law, Gene and Norma Davis.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James.
