Donna J. Turk

Donna Jean Turk(McGinnis), 61, of Aurora, MN passed away on May 14th after a battle with cancer. 

Donna was born in Aurora, MN on August 23rd 1962. Donna grew up in Hoyt Lakes, MN. She graduated from Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School in 1980. 

She went on to marry Aurora native Karl Turk on June 20th 1986. They were married for 37 years. They went on to have three children. 

Donna’s greatest joys came from spending time with her family outdoors. She took pride in teaching each of her children how to shoot and hunt. She enjoyed gardening and going for walks outside in-spite of her allergies. Her favorite pastime was spoiling her grandkids. She taught each their colors by giving them M&M’s. 

She will be remembered for her tenacious spirit and no nonsense approach to life. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband Karl Turk, Sons Jon Turk and Ryan (Kaurii) Turk, Daughter Kelly (Neil) Wilkinson, grandchildren Harper and Cameron Wilkinson, Iver and Raena Turk, as well as her siblings and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Helen McGinnis and her brother Patrick McGinnis. 

A private burial will be held at a future date
