Funeral service 2 pm Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Aurora with John Jacquart officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Eileen Joan Tennison, 83, of Aurora died Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. Raphael’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth. Eileen was born on April 16, 1935 to Ira and Violet (Butterfield) Sharbonda in Shovel Lake, MN. She grew up and attended school in Remer. On September 22, 1951 Eileen was united in marriage to Cletus Tennison. Eileen had been employed by the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory, Ketola’s Department Store, and Evergreen Industries. Eileen spent her life as a loving caretaker of her family members. She enjoyed crocheting, camping and fishing, gardening, feeding the hummingbirds, and sewing. She entered craft fairs with her Barbie Doll clothes. Eileen took the greatest pleasure in her family, especially being a grandma and great-grandma. Survivors include her son, Donald (Debbie) Tennison of Aurora; two grandsons: Jesse (Billie) Tennison of Palo and Robert Tennison of Aurora; four great-grandchildren: Lex, Emily, Ashlee, and Eliza; a brother-in-law, Leo Tennison of OR; and a sister-in-law, Bev Sharbonda of Hoyt Lakes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus; three sons: Gordon, Ronald, and Michael Tennison; a grandson, Luke Tennison; and her parents.
