Erdman "Norsky" August Templin

A graveside service for Erdman “Norsky” August Templin will be held at a later date. Following the graveside service, a luncheon will be held at the American Legion in Aurora.

Norsky died on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Essentia Health-Virginia surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born February 22, 1934 in Brainerd, MN to Henry and Daisy Templin (Imm).

Norsky married Elizabeth Story on September 24, 1955. They moved to Hibbing where he worked in LTV mines and then in 1957 his work brought them to Hoyt Lakes where he eventually retired.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served in Germany for two years.

Norsky loved collecting trolls, country music, and traveling in his motor-home. He was also a member of the American Legion.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Daisy; three sisters; and two brothers.

Norsky is survived by his loving wife, Betty; children, Sheila (Herb) of Thunder Bay, Canada, Cindy (Ron) of Virginia; and Rick (Kari) of Hibbing; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
