Funeral Mass for Frances “Fran” Elizabeth Rojeski, 87, of McKinley will be 10:30 am Monday, May 20, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gilbert. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass at the church. Inurnment will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home of Gilbert. Frances died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at New Journey Residence in Biwabik. She was born on November 27, 1931 to Joseph and Angela (Zgonce) Erchul in McKinley. She grew up and attended school at the Gilbert High School, Class of 1949. On May 2, 1953 Fran was united in marriage to Joseph Rojeski in Gilbert. Fran was a devoted wife and mother. She worked at the Arrow Shirt Factory in Gilbert. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Biwabik, SNPJ Lodge, the Gilbert VFW Auxiliary and served on the McKinley City Council. Fran was a member of the McKinley Ladies Catering Group, which did catering for events held by their friends and families. Survivors include her three children: Linda (Tom) DeLuca of Gilbert, Richard (Adelaide) Rojeski of Chisholm, and Donna (Lee) DeFlorin; grandchildren: Phillip (Kelly) Rojeski, Candace (Norm) Nelis, Jennifer (Daniel) Heitzman, Kelly (Bryn) Jarcho, Matt (Colleen Dent) DeFlorin and Adam DeFlorin; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Gerzina of Duluth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; a grandson, Brian DeLuca; two brothers: Joe and Frank Erchul; two sisters, Angie Johnson and Patricia Kelly; and her parents. Fran’s family would like to thank the staff at New Journey Residence in Biwabik for the excellent care their mother received.
