Gerald "Curly" Rollins

International Falls, MN

Funeral service for Gerald “Curly” Rollins, 86, of International Falls, formerly of Hoyt Lakes, will be 11:00am Thursday April 3, 2025 at Trinity Methodist Church in Hoyt Lakes with Pastor Mary Lou Sixberry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.

Curly died Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at his residence in International Falls where he resided for the past eight years.

He was born September 25, 1938 in Prosper, Minnesota to Darryl and Luella Rollins. He married Nancy Wood on August 16, 1958 and together they had four sons. Curly worked for Erie Mining Company as a welding supervisor retiring in 1995 with 35 years of service.

He was a volunteer EMT and Fireman for the Hoyt Lakes Fire Department and following his retirement began woodcarving. He enjoyed making canes and carving diamond willow.

Survivors include his sons: Scott of Hoyt Lakes, Steven (Nancy) and Terry (Jean) all of Grand Rapids; grandchildren: Stacy, Kelly, Brandon, Matthew, Nick and Carl; great grandchildren: Lillian, Isabelle, Ivy, Gunnar, Willow and Pearl; brother, Larry and his companion, Marilyn Phillips.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Darryl and Luella; son, Timothy; wife, Nancy; sisters, Doddy and Janet; brothers: Donny, Duane, Ronnie and Kenny
