Jennifer Barfknecht

Jennifer Ann (Anderson) Barfknecht age 56 of Virginia, Minnesota, passed away March 30th, 2023.

Jennifer was born January 27th 1967 in Virginia, Minnesota to her parents James & Karen Anderson and was raised in Gilbert Minnesota. Jennifer obtained her Associates Degree at Mesabi Community College and spent several years working as an advocate for Iron Range residents at Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency. Jennifer’s passion was loving animals and taking special care of her dogs that were her kids. Jennifer loved to attend dog shows all over the country with her friends. Jennifer was a loving wife, dog/cat mom, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  She will be forever missed.

Jennifer is survived by her husband of 29 years Tim Barfknecht, canine kids Alma, Titus, Skye,Fire, feline friend Bella, sister Kim (Blake) Amundson, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents James & Karen Anderson. A Celebration of Life will take place April 22nd, 1-3pm at the Gilbert VFW.
