Johanna Wehrung

A private graveside service will be held at the Eveleth Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Johanna Wehrung, 94, of Janesville, WI, formerly of Eveleth died Wednesday, May 16, 2019 at the Cedar Crest Nursing Facility in Janesville, WI. Hanna was born on February 17, 1925 to John and Frances (Sechnik) Nartnik in Eveleth. After graduating from Eveleth High School, Hanna moved to Beloit where she began working for Fairbanks Moorse Company.   She met George Wehrung and were united in marriage.  The couple owned and operated a motel and Cadillac dealership in Merrill, WI.  Later, they returned to Eveleth and went into partnership with Hanna’s brother, John Nartnik in Range Blacktop.  The couple moved back to Beloit following their retirement.  Hanna had many friends and was loved by all. Survivors include her brother, John “Nartz” (Barb Skrbec) Nartnik; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George and a sister, Frances (Andreachi) Perko.
