Joyce M Jorgenson

A gathering of friends and family for Joyce Mildred Jorgenson, 85, of Embarrass will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 12noon-2pm at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.   Inurnment will be in the Embarrass Cemetery.

Joyce died Saturday, November 03, 2018 at her home.

She was born on March 6, 1933 to Henry and Lena (Ukastead) Magnussen in Gonvick, MN. She grew up and graduated from Gonvick High School.  Following high school she worked in banking in Gonvick and Salt Lake City, Utah.  In 1954 she met Robert Jorgenson and the couple married on October 27, 1956.  Joyce worked as a nurse’s aid for twenty years at the White Community Hospital in Aurora.  Joyce enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting and knitting.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Robert; three children: Judy (Roger) Osborne of Stewartville, Debra (Butch) Pintar of Nashwauk, and Lori (George) Nutt of Pine City; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Randy; a sister, Lillian; brother, Herbert; and her parents.
