Kevin W. Mattfeld

Funeral service for Kevin William Mattfeld, 61, of Roseville, formerly of Hoyt Lakes, will be 11am Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Coleraine, Minnesota. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.

Kevin died Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Fairview Health University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was born October 27, 1963 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Reuben and Patricia (Deutsch) Mattfeld. Kevin attended school in Coleraine at Phillip Murray Elementary until 1971 when he moved with his family to Hoyt Lakes. He attended Bose Elementary in Hoyt Lakes and graduated in 1982 from Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School, earning a scholarship award in Business Management.

He went onto Mankato State University and graduated from there in 1987 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science. Following graduation, he moved to the St. Paul area where he worked as a computer programmer for over 30 years.

Kevin loved to travel ad enjoyed many trips and cruises with family and friends. We love you and miss you very much.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia Mattfeld of Hoyt Lakes; sister, Pam Hockert of Clearwater, FL; nephews: Jarid (Megan) Hockert, Trevor Hockert, and Tanner Hockert; one great niece; one great nephew; other relatives and friends survive.

He is preceded in death by his father, Reuben and his grandparents.
