Funeral service for Lila Ann Schumacher, 88, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 11am Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Pastor Jon Mendonsa officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Lila died Saturday, July 6, 2018 at Guardian Angels in Hibbing, Minnesota. Lila was born April 2, 1930 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to George and Esther (Feustel) Price. She was a graduate of Stevens Point High School and later worked as a switchboard operator for Wisconsin Telephone Company. On October 2, 1954 she married Maynard Schumacher in Minneapolis. They moved to Hoyt Lakes in 1957. Lila was a homemaker and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Aurora. Survivors include her husband, Maynard; children: Amber (Gerry) Krueger of Hibbing, (Jackie ) Lee-deceased of Hibbing, Celia Heikkila of Perham, Peggy Gaskins of Guyton, GA, Neal (Julie) of Duluth, Tony of Hibbing and Jody (Bill) Anderson of Belvidere, NJ; 14 grandchildren: Hope, Jessi, Lane, Adam, Anita, Amy, Aric, Jamie, Melody, Kara, Brent, Matthew, Renee and Bradley; 25 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Elroy Storm; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Lee and her siblings. The family would like to thank the staff of Guardian Angels Nursing Home in Hibbing for their wonderful care given to Lila.
