Michael R. Percy

Memorial service for Michael Robert Percy, 66, of Lakeland, will be 11am Friday, January 26, 2024 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor Jeanne Madsen officiating.  Friends may gather one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the Spring in the Rauha Cemetery in Palo, Minnesota.

Michael died unexpectedly Friday, January 12, 2024 at home in Lakeland. 

He was born October 8, 1957 in Virginia, Minnesota to Robert and Linda (Maki) Percy.  Michael attended Horace Mann High School in Biwabik and later moved to Colorado.  There he was self employed and was a jack of all trades.  He was always available to anyone who needed help.

Four years ago, he volunteered to move back home to care for his mother.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Scheuring; brother, Terry (Diane) Percy of Colorado; close friends, Joe Burd of Colorado and Tom Wudinich; cousins Cindy Wudinich and Cheryl Overfors; many other extended relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Percy; stepfather, Alfred Scheuring; grandparents: Eldon and Viola Percy and Jalmer “Sham” Maki and his wife, Jennie.
