Funeral service for Nathan Clifford Lobb, 61, of Palo, will be 11am Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Loon Lake Community Center in Palo with Pastor Eric Braun officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in the Markham Cemetery in Colvin Township, MN.  Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

 

Nathan died Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

 

He was born May 30, 1957 in Virginia, Minnesota to Wilfred and Saima “Rachel” (Mauriala) Lobb. Nathan was a 1975 graduate of Aurora High School and later earned his Bachelors of Theology from Faith Baptist College in Ankeny, Iowa.

 

On August 16, 1980 he married Donna Wright in Cambridge, Iowa. In 1987 he became pastor of Lakeland Baptist Church where he served as pastor until the time of his death.  Nathan was a servant to his family and community in many capacities during his lifetime.

 

Survivors include his wife, Donna; mother, Saima “Rachel”; children: Joshua (Brittany) Lobb, Sarah (Thomas) Samson, Clarissa (Dustin) Lerol, Caleb (Megan) Lobb and Bethany Lobb; 14 grandchildren; siblings: Gary Lobb, Philip (Cindy) Lobb, Karen (Dan) Cleghorn, Joy (Ron) Hemsworth, William (Amanda) Lobb and Sharon (Ken) Loveall; numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He is preceded in death by his father, Wilfred.
