A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Embarrass Town Hall. Inurnment will be in the Waasa Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
Norman “Norm” Eugene Dale Jr., 82, of Aurora died Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at his home.
Norm was born on December 18, 1942 to Norman Sr. and Evelyn (Minnett) Dale in his family home in Fertile, MN. He spent his childhood in Fertile before his family moved to Babbitt where he attended school. Norm worked at Reserve Mining and then Erie. He retired from LTV Steel when the company closed. Following his retirement he worked several various jobs to remain active. Norm was united in marriage to Wanda Berry on December 4, 1995. The couple moved to Las Vegas in 2001 for a couple years before returning to Aurora. Norm enjoyed fishing and tinkering in his garage. He especially took pleasure in stock car racing. He was involved in racing and building stock cars for over thirty years along with his son, Duane and their #24D car.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda; children: Donald (Anne) Dale of Chisago, David (Heide) Dale of Tower, Duane (Michelle) Dale of Hibbing, Gina Barry of Virginia and Barry Tornow of Hibbing; grandchildren: Courtney, Quinn, Amber, Colleen, Rachel, Ryan, Kyle, Abbi, Makila, Natalie and Freeann; great-grandchildren: Twins Claire and Cecilia, Zoey, Alice, Felix and Lydia.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Dale and his parents.
