Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Pastor Rebecca LeMenager officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Biwabik at a later date. Memorials are kindly preferred in lieu of flowers.
Pamela Jean Berts, 73, of Biwabik died Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 17, 1950 to Allen and Thelma (Kronholm) Ronning in Duluth. Pam attended the Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School, having graduated from the Class of 1969. She then attended Virginia Junior College. She worked for Prudential, Eveleth Taconite and the City of Biwabik in many capacities, where she retired after thirty years of service in 2012. She volunteered on several committees in Biwabik including the Cemetery Board and the Biwabik Area Civic Assoc (BACA) where she helped facilitate the Weihnachtsfest, Music in the Park, and 4th of July festivities. Pam enjoyed supporting her daughters and grandson in all of their activities growing up. She also enjoyed traveling with family to visit family and friends and especially delighted in tropical destinations.
Survivors include her two daughters: Tina Neal of Eagan and Ashlee (Jeff White) Berts of Cambridge; grandson: Ashton (Ashley) Neal of Bloomington; sisters: Randi (Allen Stauffer) Ronning of Apple Valley and Kella Ronning of Highlands Ranch, CO; brothers: Mitch (Renee) Ronning of Hoyt Lakes, Ed Ronning of Bloomington and Nate Ronning of Golden Valley; former husband and friend, Glenn Berts; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
