Mass of Christian Burial for Robin Lee Jarvi, 62, of Eveleth will be 10 am Friday, January 18, 2019 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth with Fr. Michael Garry celebrating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday with a recitation of the rosary at 6:30 pm at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Visitation will continue one hour prior to mass at the church. Interment will be in the Eveleth Cemetery. Robin died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth after a courageous battle with cancer. Robin was born on November 25, 1956 to Woitto “Skip” and Carol (McFaul) Jarvi in Virginia. He grew up in Lakeland and attended Biwabik High School, graduating from the Class of 1975. Robin continued his education at Eveleth Vocational School, where he studied automobile mechanics. Robin had worked at several various jobs throughout his life, most recently being employed by the Deluxe Café in Eveleth. Robin was united in marriage to Kathy Cetinjan on September 18, 1982. Robin enjoyed being outdoors hunting or fishing. He also enjoyed travelling, especially to Wichita and Arkansas, drinking morning coffee on his deck, picking apples off this tree, and bowling on several leagues. Robin took great pleasure in visiting with friends and their “Wine Time”. He was a member of the Resurrection Catholic Church and the Knights of Kaleva. Survivors include his wife, Kathy; his Goddaughter: Brianna Marinaro; his parents: Woitto “Skip” and Carol Jarvi; three siblings: Steve (Brenda) Jarvi, Darren (Letitia) Jarvi and Renee (Ron) Skrbec; nieces and nephews: Ryan (Marie) Jarvi, Kasey (Steve Biondich) Jarvi, Devin (Brooke Visser) Jarvi, Justin (Courtney Gerlach), Liliana Jarvi, Megan (Paul Randall) Skrbec, Shaun Skrbec and Darcie Skrbec; great-nephews: Nolan, Riley, and Michael Jarvi. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father and mother-in-law: Matt and Helen Cetinjan; and a nephew, Brandon Jarvi.
