Funeral Mass for Ronald Edward Green, Jr, 71, of Aurora will be 1 pm Monday, April 29, 2019 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Peter Lambert celebrating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Military honors will be accorded by the Aurora-Hoyt Lakes Color Guard. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Ronald died Monday, April 22, 2019 at this home due to natural causes. Ronald was born on January 12, 1948 to Ronald Sr. and Pearl (Tetu) Green. He graduated from the Aurora High School, Class of 1966. Following high school, Ronald went to work for Erie Mining Company. He was then drafted into the US Army serving during Vietnam. He returned to work for Erie Mining Company following the war. He was a member of the American Legion Post 241 in Aurora and the Hoyt Lakes VFW and was a dedicated member of the Aurora-Hoyt Lakes Color Guard. Survivors include his brothers: Richard (Anita) Green and Jaime Green; three nieces: Sarah Green, Kelly Green, and Jessica (Alec) Irwin; great nephews: Levi Green, Weston and Clayton Danielson; great nieces: Faith Allen and Taya Danielson; special friend, Brenda Daniels; as well as numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
