Rosella V. Bronczyk

Rosella V. Bronczyk, 96, of Aitkin, MN and formerly of Biwabik, MN, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023, in Aitkin, MN.  Rosella was born in Rochester, IN, to Harold and Anna Vandegrift on February 1, 1927.

Rosella and Stanley Bronczyk, met on a blind date and on October 22, 1945 in Bemidji, MN she married her best friend and love of her life.  They lived and farmed outside of Kelliher, MN until they moved in 1954 to Biwabik, MN., and built a home in Lakeland.  She enjoyed being a mother and was active in her children’s activities in 4-H, school activities and community events.  Rosella was a long time member of the Biwabik Covenant Church and was involved in all aspects of church life.  More recently she attended the New Life Church in Aitkin, MN.  She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years as a Gold Star Mother.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening and growing flowers.  There were many family hunting, fishing and camping trips.  Rosella and Stan did a lot of traveling after their retirement with multiple trips to Alaska to see family.  She lived for over 60 years at her home in Lakeland and 7 years ago moved to Aitkin, MN to be closer to her daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley L.; sons, Stanley H., and Larry (Vietnam, 1968); sister, Esther V. Raitz.

Rosella is survived by her children, Rosanna Bronczyk, Moose Lake, MN, Jean (Jim) Pitt, Aitkin MN, and Marilee (Tom) Kenow, Baxter, MN, daughter-in-law, Karen Bronczyk, Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Loren (Becca) Bronczyk Anchorage, AK, Heidi (Eric) Krumland, Leavenworth, WA, Erik (Abby) Bronczyk, Anchorage, AK; great-grandson, Declan Bronczyk, Anchorage, AK; sisters; Lois Hayes, and Joann Falk; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Service will be 11AM, Monday, November 6, 2023, with visitation one-hour prior, at the Biwabik Evangelical Covenant Church, 700 Vermilion Trail, Biwabik, MN 55708. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Biwabik, MN.
