Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor Mark Holman officiating. Friends and family may gather one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia at a later date.

Roselle LaRae Brown, 70, of Majestic Lake, Iron died Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at her home. She was born on October 27, 1953 to Sulo and Eleanor (Laurie) Alto in Virginia. Roselle graduated from the Virginia High School and furthered her education at Eveleth Vo-Tec. On September 15, 1984 she was united in marriage to Al Brown at Sand Lake. The couple owned and operated Big Al’s Bar in Gilbert for twenty-seven years. She also worked at Rocket Liquor in Virginia. Roselle enjoyed fishing, hunting, baking and cooking.

She is survived a sister, Marilyn Walters; her significant other, Michael Powell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al; brother, Roger Alto; sisters: Sharon Alto and Virginia Patregnani; and her parents.
