Sandra "Sandi" Orso

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora.

Sandra “Sandi” Lynn Orso, 64, of Red Wing died Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the Benedictine Living Community in Red Wing.

She was born on May 20, 1960 to Louis and Carol (Whitford) Orso in Virginia. She graduated from the Aurora-Hoyt Lakes, Class of 1978 as a homebound student during her senior year due to health struggles. Sandi moved to the Twin Cities to live with her brother, Barry. She later moved to Red Wing where she resided for the remainder of her life. Sandi enjoyed music, especially her favorite band, the Osmond Brothers. She also enjoyed many forms of entertainment including movies and TV. On Fridays, Sandi took great pleasure in playing BINGO at her living community, going on rides with Dave and Michelle and her weekly talks with Randi. Sandi is remembered for having a kind, loving heart and an infectious laugh. She was easily loved and created special bonds with many people who will greatly miss her.

Survivors include her brothers: Barry (Molly) and Larry (Shonna) Orso; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Orso; nephew, Benjamin Orso; and her parents.
