A visitation and gathering of family and friends for Walter “Wally” Dean Gross, 45, of Aurora, will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
Wally died suddenly on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Essentia Health in Aurora, Minnesota.
He was born January 7, 1974 in Indiana to Leo and Norma Gross. He attended Mesabi East High School and later attended truck driving school in Red Wing.
On August 5, 2000 he married Amy Ross in Hoyt Lakes. Wally worked as an over the road truck driver for Munson Trucking. For the past nine years he has worked as a truck driver and silo operator for Hill Wood Products in Cook, Minnesota.
Wally wan an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed camping and repairing vehicles. Wally was always willing to lend a helping hand to others and family was of utmost importance to him.
Survivors include his wife, Amy; children: Josie and Samantha; siblings: Steve Watt and Carl (Ronnie) Watt; father and mother-in-law, Rodney and Wendy Ross; sisters-in-law: Angela and Andrea Ross; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
